Did you know?
Gaustablikk Fjellresort opened its doors in 1970, with 51 guest rooms and a single ski lift connected to the hotel. The resort was founded by Olav Svartdal from Flatdal in Telemark and his wife, Didi.
In every room and in the reception at Gaustablikk Fjellresort, you will find the book Gaustakongen by Arvid Møller, where you can learn more about the unique history behind the destination.
Today, the destination – including Gaustablikk Fjellresort – has been further developed under new ownership by Mikael Jönsson and Vätterleden Invest, offering a wide range of accommodation options. There are now two hotels: 89 rooms at Gaustablikk Fjellresort and 33 units at Gausta Sportell, in addition to around 220 cabins and apartments – all available through Gausta.
