Gaustablikk Fjellresort – in the heart of Telemark
Gaustablikk is located in Tinn municipality, in the heart of Telemark.
The destination is easily accessible from several parts of Southern Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. From Oslo, the drive takes approximately 2.5 hours along scenic roads through the Norwegian landscape. From Bergen, the journey takes around 4.5 hours, and from Gothenburg approximately 5.5 hours.
Wherever you travel from, you will be welcomed by views of Gaustatoppen and the distinct sense of calm that defines the area upon arrival.
We want to make your visit as smooth as possible. At Gaustablikk, you’ll find convenient parking and practical EV charging facilities. Parking fees apply to all visitors and guests.
How to get to Gaustablikk Fjellresort
Parking
Gaustablikk Fjellresort offers ample parking directly adjacent to the hotel, with easy access to both guest rooms and facilities.
Hotel guests who use the complimentary parking must register their vehicle at reception upon arrival. Without registration, the standard parking fee will apply. The registration is valid for 72 hours and must be renewed for longer stays. If the vehicle leaves the parking area and re-enters, it must be registered again.
All parking areas use APCOA’s camera-based parking system, which automatically registers the vehicle’s licence plate upon entry and exit. For questions regarding payment or refunds, please contact APCOA via apcoa.no.
Please note: From 1 December 2026, a common parking policy will apply to all guests at Gausta. This means that the standard parking fee will apply equally to everyone, including overnight hotel guests.
Electric vehicle charging
There are 12 EV charging stations available in the hotel parking area, as well as an additional 16 chargers in the nearby ski center parking area.
To use the chargers, please bring your own Type 2 charging cable. Payment is made via the Chargenode app.
The app is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
We offer a complimentary shuttle service at Gausta
At Gausta, a dedicated shuttle service makes it easy to get around – especially during peak seasons.
Gausta Shuttle includes three services:
- Gausta Express – connects different areas within the destination
- Fjellbussen (Mountain Bus) – runs between Rjukan and Gausta, linking the destination with the local community
- Gausta Restaurant Shuttle – takes you to and from restaurants (pre-booking required)
All services are complimentary, but operate only during selected periods.
