Just next to Gaustablikk Fjellresort, you will find Kvitåvatn, home to two floating saunas. Here, you can enjoy the warmth while taking in the surrounding natural landscape, with Gaustatoppen as the main focal point.
The refreshing waters of Kvitåvatn combined with the warmth of the sauna create the ideal setting for a relaxing experience.

Capacity and Facilities
The saunas accommodate up to 10 people and are equipped with changing rooms and a bathing ladder. Lifebuoys are available.
Access to the wellness area at Gaustablikk Fjellresort is included in the price, where changing facilities are also available.

Monday – Sunday: 09:00 – 21:00

Rules
- Minimum age for booking: 18 years
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
- Bringing your own food and beverages is not permitted
Keys and Equipment
Keys are collected and returned at reception. Towels and bathrobes can be rented here. Please arrive a few minutes before your booked time.
On busy days, there may be slight delays in key handover, or keys may be passed on from the previous guest at the saunas. We kindly ask that keys are returned to reception promptly at the end of your booking.
Find the way
Exit through the terrace door and take the small staircase/path to the right. Follow the path down to the left into the small wooded area, keeping the beach and boathouse on your left-hand side. Continue along the path until you reach the dock leading to the two saunas.
Exit the main entrance and turn left.
Follow the parking area and continue down the road towards the padel court and the water (between the hotel and the workshop).

Did you know?
Our first floating sauna was launched in late 2018 and is idyllically located by Kvitåvatn, with a dock and direct access to the water.
The saunas are designed by architect Anders Koller Tufte and feature large glass panels with views directly towards Gaustatoppen. Each sauna measures 12 square metres, perfect for a warm pause before a refreshing dip in the mountain lake.
